Patti was purchased from Heather Green of DemonMoon Manchester Terriers, Prince Edward Island, Canada. We were looking for a small bitch of absolutely correct structure and impeccable tailset and carriage, and we got it!
Patti finished her championship in fine style, entirely from the Puppy classes, and with a Group placement from the classes. This Group placement was particularly exciting, as the level of quality in Terriers on the East Coast is very high and it is most unusual for a Manchester to place in Group at all, never mind as an owner-handled puppy!
Patti was a 16 lb. bitch with a substantial body and very correct structure. She moved “long and low” in the ring, flying along on a loose lead with her feet skimming the ground in a long-strided trot, with no wasted motion. She had a very pretty head and expression, and very correct earset, tailset and carriage. Her temperament was “all Terrier” but without the nasty bits – she was an alert, self-confident kind of girl who loved to show and never let down.
Patti proved herself a valuable asset to the Charlin breeding program (see Piccolo's and Turbo's pages) and we miss her sparkling personality as one of our cherished house dogs.
